Family Dentistry
What Does Dentistry Mean
for Your Family Members?
Toddlers
It's recommended to take your child to the dentist at 12 months old or within six months of the arrival of their first tooth. Family dentistry appointments for toddlers are relatively short and consist of our dentist examining your child's teeth, gums, and overall dental growth and development.
Kids
As your child ages and begins to brush and floss their teeth on their own, dental care appointments become more regular. Twice-yearly dental cleaning appointments will help remove plaque and tartar that your child can't remove on their own. A focus on preventive dentistry will begin, and our dentist will help educate your child on proper oral health habits.
Adults
We encourage adults to come into our office every six months for a dental cleaning and exam. At these appointments, our dentist will update your X-rays and check your teeth and gums for signs of decay, disease, infections, and other concerns. We offer tooth-colored fillings and root canal therapy to clear cavities and infections from your teeth and cosmetic services to improve the look of your smile.
Seniors
As you age into your senior years, continue to visit our family dentist twice a year. If you're experiencing tooth loss, we have dental services to help restore your smile like crowns, bridges, and dentures. We can also place dental implants to add support and stability to your restoration.

Onlays
Onlays are fillings made of composite material, gold, or porcelain that act as a partial crown to repair your tooth after a defective filling, decay, or trauma has left your tooth damaged. This family dentistry service is less invasive than crowns since a smaller portion of your tooth needs to be removed for the onlay to lay flush with your existing tooth structure.
Dental Crowns
Sometimes the damage done to a tooth cannot be fixed with a filling, inlay, or onlay. Whether you need to restore your tooth after a root canal, repair a broken tooth, or replace a large filling, dental crowns can help you restore the health of your teeth and the look of your smile. We offer same-day crowns that can be placed right away.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy is a dental procedure performed to save an infected tooth. Through root canal therapy, the infected pulp is removed, the root canals are cleaned, and the site is sealed and protected with a dental crown. Root canal therapy helps patients relieve pain, prevent further infection, and preserve their natural teeth.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is an excellent cosmetic dentistry option for patients looking to improve the look of an already healthy smile. Professional teeth whitening can lighten your smile by several shades in one appointment, giving you a brighter smile than over-the-counter whitening products in less time.
Veneers
Veneers are thin porcelain shells placed on the front of your teeth to conceal various imperfections, including discoloration, minor misalignment, chips, and cracks. Only a tiny amount of enamel is removed from your tooth to lay the veneer flush with surrounding teeth, but the procedure is irreversible because of this step.
